1930s off-the-shoulder ruffle gown, sourced in Spain. Layers of delicate lace ruffles fall softly off the shoulders, framed by velvet straps and ribbon detailing. Lace appliqué continues through the paneled bodice and into the waist, while ties at the back and lace-up ties at each side allow for a flexible, adjustable fit. Finished with a fluid floor-length skirt and hand-finished scalloped hem.

Nearly 100 hours went into carefully cleaning, restoring, and hand-repairing this gown, preserving its original beauty and intricate construction. Almost a century later, she’s ready for her next bride.

CONDITION

This gown is in great overall condition for its age. There is one faint, lighter mark near the bottom right of the skirt that is only visible in certain lighting, along with a few light scuffs at the front. The back of the skirt has several larger scuffs, including one that has been carefully mended, as well as a faint lighter spot. There is also some light wear along the neckline. Please note due to this being handmade, the hem is slightly asymmetric.

Other minor vintage imperfections may be present due to the age and delicate nature of vintage textiles. These are considered normal for garments of this era. Care

Store properly and wear with care to preserve its condition. The piece has been cleaned and arrives ready to wear. A light steam will be needed to release any wrinkles from shipping. When steaming, we recommend using distilled water and placing a clean white cloth between the steamer and the garment to protect the fabric from potential water marks. When possible, steam from the inside of the garment for the safest and most gentle results.
